Earlier this April, the Group’s procurement team travelled to Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, to participate in the "World Japanese Wagyu Auction", where they successfully secured one of Japan’s rarest wagyu breeds - the "Kobe A5 Red Wine Wagyu".
With an annual production of only around 50 cattle nationwide, this exceptional wagyu is regarded as one of the most exclusive beef varieties in Japan.
Raised on a carefully managed diet that includes red wine lees, the cattle develop beautifully fine marbling and naturally high levels of polyphenols. Its fat melting point is below 20°C, creating an extraordinary melt-in-the-mouth texture that dissolves almost instantly upon contact with the palate.
